- EcoRight: Founded in 2017 in Ahmedabad, EcoRight has 18 product lines and 140 SKUs available in around 11 ecommerce websites. The startup says it makes products that are ethically, socially, legally, and environmentally audited as per the pillar standards of SEDEX 4. Its products, which include tote bags, work bags, backpacks, etc., are reusable, made with natural products, and are developed with innovative fabrics to make products better for the environment. Aimed at finding solutions to environmental problems such as plastic waste, the ecommerce startup claims that each bag it sells will, in turn, replace the use of 50-100 plastic bags. Each of the handbag designs features an eco-friendly message or a pun to spread awareness about the harmful effects of plastics.
- Chalk and Chuckles:Pallavi Agarwal and Prachi Agarwal founded Chalk and Chuckles which shapes children’s learning, skills, and experiences based on the games they play. Calling themselves “play advocates,” the Delhi-based entrepreneurs discourage the use of gadgets like a smartphone, laptop, PSP, and so on, to entertain children, citing the impact on the child’s cognitive growth.The startup creates every product keeping the planet and the environment in mind. The toys are handcrafted MDF (Class I), and are printed using soy-based ink. Each of its products is tested for compliance on international safety standards and none of them run on batteries or chargers.
- Love Organically:Love Organically is a Mumbai-based beauty manufacturing brand which claims to produce 100 percent natural and chemical-free products. It was founded by Deepshika Deshmukh who is a student of Ayurveda. She has conducted in-depth research and consultations with experts from the Ayurveda field, as well as doctors, on her family’s skin nutrition secrets. Every product includes nutrients from flower extracts, essentials oils, and aromatic botanicals.

- India Hemp & Co was started in 2019 and brings hemp products from the foothills of the Himalayas to the rest of the country.
- With a laser-sharp focus on sustainability right from sourcing to packaging, the startup sells four simple, clean products — hemp hearts, protein powder, seed trail mix, and hemp oil — on its website.
- It also retails on six online stores and 14 physical stores, including Organic World and Go Native. In fact, it is in active discussions with Big Basket to stock its products on the platform.
- In 2019, using personal wealth and raising funds from family members, the sisters started the venture. It is now exploring opportunities with potential investors. Finding the right investor fit, Jayanti says, is important for the startup.

- अंकित कहते हैं, “जब मैंने 14 लाख की नौकरी छोड़कर अपना स्टार्टअप शुरू करने का फैसला किया तो लोग तरह-तरह की बातें करने लगे। शुरू में परिवार के लोग भी इसे एक अच्छा निर्णय नहीं मान रहे थे। लेकिन मैंने किसी की नहीं सुनी। केवल अपने दिल की मानी। इसके बाद अपने दोस्तों के साथ मिलकर काम शुरू कर दिया। फैसला सही साबित हुआ। आज के वक्त सभी इस फैसले की मिसाल देते हैं। कई जगह स्टार्टअप की कामयाबी की कहानी सुनाने के लिए आमंत्रित भी किया जाता है। मैं सभी से यही कहता हूँ कि दूसरों से पहले आप खुद पर भरोसा करना सीखें।”
- अंकित ने अपने स्टार्टअप में महिलाओं को प्राथमिकता दी है। इस वक्त उन्होंने सवा सौ महिलाओं को रोजगार दिया हुआ है। इसके अतिरिक्त आवश्यकता के आधार पर भी वह लोगों को रोजगार मुहैया कराते हैं। महिलाओं को प्राथमिकता देने की वजह पर अंकित कहते हैं, “महिलाएँ अपेक्षाकृत अपने कार्य में अधिक ईमानदार होती हैं। वह अधिक लगन से कार्य करती हैं। इसके अलावा वह घर-परिवार की धुरी होती हैं। उनके हाथ में पैसा आने से पूरे परिवार को फायदा होता है। वह अपनी इस कवायद को पुख्ता तरीके से आगे बढ़ाने का इरादा रखते हैं।”

- बिहार के पश्चिमी चंपारण जिले के अबुलेस अंसारी पिछले पांच साल से जम्मू-कश्मीर के अनंतनाग में बैट बनाने की फैक्ट्री में कारीगर थे। फरवरी में घर लौटे। मार्च के अंत में वापस कश्मीर जाना था। लॉकडाउन लगा तो वो यहीं फंस गए
- अब अबुलेस के पास खरीदार आने लगे। अबुलेस ने बिना संसाधन ये बैट बनाए और इन्हें 800 रुपए के रेट से बेच दिए। ऑर्डर आने पर उन्होंने अपने गांव के साथियों की मदद ली जो उनके साथ कश्मीर में बैट बनाने का ही काम करते थे।
- जिले के डीएम कुंदन कुमार ने इन हुनरमंदों को मदद का भरोसा दिया। और यहीं से इन कारीगरों के बिजनेसमैन बनने की कहानी शुरू हुई।
